The Diamond Alloys Van

We take pride in everything we do at Diamond Alloys, including making sure we turn up to collect and delivery your alloys in style. Pictured here is our van complete with the sparkling Diamond Alloys Logo. We even managed to grab a couple of the guys from the refurbishment Centre to pose for the camera, some taking it very seriously and stopping to check they were looking every bit as good as the van.

You will be able to spot our van easily, with the huge Diamond Alloy wheel design emblazoned on the side of the van, along with our prestigious name and contact details. We have even added a QR code so passes by can immediately access our website for more information about our alloy wheel refurbishment services.

If you see our van out and about, give us a wave!

Diamond Cut – Attention To Detail

Diamond Alloys has quickly become known for its excellent alloy wheel refurbishment services which include Diamond Cutting, Standard Refurbishment and also Customisation.

When it comes to Diamond Cutting, our customers get the best. Our technicians are fully qualified, highly skilled which means each alloy gets the attention it deserves to ensure the finish is first class. Whether it’s a little scuff, dent, or chip, our Diamond Cut machine pin points exactly where the damage is and how much cutting is needed for the alloy to look brand new again.

As pictured above, these alloys wheels are the results of a Diamond Cutting process which is extremely precise; a finish which cannot be done by hand. The Diamond Cutting machine uses laser technology for damage you can’t see. Once the data has gone through the machine, the Diamond Cutting process starts by slowly and gradually coming closer and closer to the alloy and cutting off an incredibly thin layer of the alloy. It then moves back and goes ahead with the procedure once again making sure any damage isn’t missed.

The machine spins the alloy at very high speeds with a rotary cylinder that holds the alloy in place. On the end of the machine, an incredibly precise sharp blade is located which has an electric mechanism beneath it for the machine to slide in and out smoothly, assuring the alloy is not damaged by the high speed cutting of the blade.

Laser technology is the latest cutting-edge technology on alloy wheel refurbishment equipment, so it was with no hesitation that we chose the latest and best laser technology available. The laser helps the machine to be as accurate as possible by scanning the whole alloy before any movement in the machine pin pointing the exact locations of the damage.

Our clients vary from big companies such as Bentley, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, to the usual accidental curbing by an individual driver. No matter how big or small the job, we strive to make sure your alloys don’t leave our workshop until they look perfect.

Zak McLaughlan’s Medal of Excellence

Diamond Alloys has a reputation of aiming to be the best. This includes having the latest machinery, best techniques and most importantly the most skilled technicians. In this case, Zak McLaughlan, specialist paint technician at Diamond Alloys who won the Medal of Excellence award in 2008 for best painter. This was a worldwide award meaning Zak was up against many other countries, yet despite this Zak took the gold medal.

Zak McLaughlan started out as an apprentice at Solus until Phil Murdoch, Director of Diamond Alloys, recognized his talent and took him on as an apprentice. Diamond Alloys was recently featured in the Bodyshop magazine where Phil speaks about Zak and says “I know his standard of work is exceptional and to have him on-board is a big asset to the business. He, along with the rest of the team are great to be around”.

Zak’s role is to provide a wide range of specialist custom paint effects alongside an excellent service. Customers can choose from a wide selection of custom paint schemes and even have a glitter effect (should they wish) in fact, there is pretty much nothing that Zak and the Diamond Alloys team cannot achieve when asked.

Phil Murdoch, Director of Diamond Alloys, has spent a lot of time and money investing into the business, but one of the biggest accomplishments was taking Zak on; as Phil says he is a big asset to the business. Phil says “Zak is one of the best around, and it is an honour to have one of the best to work with us” which clearly shows how proud our Director is of Zak.

At Diamond Alloys, we take our work very seriously; we treat every alloy that comes in with extreme and equal respect to give the best standard all-round. We use the best alloy wheel refurbishment machinery available in the  industry which gives an excellent result which alongside the best technicians giving the best attention to detail helps us remain best in the business. Diamond Alloys – As Featured In BodyShop Magazine

At Diamond Alloys, we are always looking for different ways to bring in audiences so we were delighted when we were contacted by Bodyshop Magazine for an article to feature in their August 2012 edition.

Mark Hadaway, editor of Bodyshop, came to visit the Diamond Alloys team at our West London Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Centre to carry out an in depth interview with Diamond Alloys Director Phil Murdoch. Mark was keen to highlight all the services we offer and how we established and built our business to becoming number one in the Alloy Wheel Refurbishment industry so quickly.

One of the key questions Mark had for Phil was how Diamond Alloys was started and what motivated him to want to create a company that offered a premium service and a range of high quality finishes. Phil said. ‘I started by going into mobile alloy wheel repair but felt that had ‘limited’ potential. I also soon recognized the audience and their demands were different – I wanted to be the person to offer a service to match those requirements. To do that I needed a permanent base so I took the decision to invest time and money in order to do things properly.’

Mark was also keen to quiz Phil about paint technician Zak McLaughlan and why he was such a key member of staff to be on board. Phil said “Zak was my apprentice at Solus so we’ve known each other a long time,’ said Phil. ‘I know his standard of work is exceptional and to have him on board is a big asset to the business. He, along with the rest of the team are great to be around.” Zak won the Medal of Excellence for the Best Painter in 2008; his speciality painting techniques and bespoke custom finish services in addition to the 24 hour service we offer on Diamond Cutting are all reasons why Diamond Alloys is already standing out as the best on the industry.

We were delighted with the article, especially as Mark clearly outlined how it’s not just our highly trained and experienced technicians that are excellent, but it is also our service which is winning over new customers on a daily basis.

The August edition of the Bodyshop magazine is out now, so pick up a copy and be the first to read!

Diamond Alloys – One Of A Kind Service

At Diamond Alloys, we take our work very seriously. We have hundreds of enquiries from big names like Bentley, Rolls-Royce and Mercedes. This motivates us to go further and expand our business to a point which we believe no other alloy refurbishment company can touch. We take care of our image and brand to ensure all companies and customers are happy with our service.

We inspect every wheel like we’re inspecting a diamond, hence our name. No matter how big the customer, whether it’s Bentley or someone who’s just accidentally curbed their wheels, we treat everyone with equal amounts of respect and service.

The goal for us is to be number one, and we believe the way we will continue to do this is by providing an alloy service that no one else can touch. We do this by not only using a Diamond Cutting technique which is latest technology available, but by offering this on a 24 hour service.

The Diamond Cut is a special cutting treatment which gets rid of a thin layer of your alloy so the alloy can get back to its shining beginnings; it is extremely precise and cannot be done by hand. Customers have praised us for our hard work and have benefited from our precise work.

At our center, we have highly trained and experienced technicians with award winning skills which treat a client’s alloys as their own to give maximum effort. Our technicians also experiment new techniques with test alloys so we can offer newer services that other company cannot offer.

We also specialize in delivery and pickup. If you decide to choose our collection and delivery service, we will handle your alloys with care. If you decide you want to drop them off, we can cater for that too. These are just a few of the services we provide.
