We often get asked is we provide a mobile service? We generally advise customers that we do not provide a mobile patching service. You cannot get a Diamond Cut repair done by a mobile service so you need to bring it into a specialist alloy wheel refurbishment centre like Diamond Alloys. For a painted finish we also advise the whole wheel is refurbished as this will give a better finish and a longer lasting result.

Customers also ask do we repair cracks and buckles? Yes we do! Prices start fromt £60 + VAT for a buckle and £65 + VAT for a crack repair.

ohhhhh….First thing book myself and kids an expensive holiday. Then buy a house plus car -of course- get my wheels done at Diamond Alloys and invest the rest.

Winter tyres are a legal requirement in some European countries yet at the same time. However, we recommend you don’t use them during the summer because they are designed specifically for the challenging winter roads. They are made from a rubber compound that features silica and their tread pattern is meant to be flexible when it is cold. This flexibility gives the tyres the power to brake well and have good traction at the same time. The UK is one of the only countries in Europe where winter tyres are not compulsory, partly because some parts of the country don’t experience harsh winter weather and it is not cost effective at the moment to roll out winter tyres across the country. However, with snow and extreme weather always a threat you may wish to consider winter tyres for your car.

Should I consider getting winter tyres?
This might depend on your lifestyle, it could just make good sense as the season changes and of course can depend on your location. For example, if you live in a secluded area, harsh winter weather can take a toll on your car especially if it takes a long time to reach a mechanic, so it might be good to be well prepared for the worst road conditions.

Another benefit of buying winter tyres is if you rely on usuin your car a lot for work or for transporting your family and don’t have alternative transportation options. It will give you peace of mind that you can be safe with winter tyres. You don’t want to put your summer tyres through endless stress so choosing winter tyres could alse be cost effective.

One of the things to remember about winter tyres is they have to be fitted in sets of four. You can’t fit only one because that will impact on the stability of the car itself. These tyres have a high amount of silica which is good for the low temperature however you should remember they are still not as good as the top specialist tyres in the market, so choose what is best for your own needs.

Do I have to tell my insurer?
Usually, you don’t need to tell your insurer that you are planning to use winter tyres but you should be aware that you will need to go at lower speeds because the speed index will be lower. When you get winter tyres, you should also have two sets of summer tyres as well so that you can keep with the European guidelines that everyone follows.

I was a delivery driver for a furniture company.

3. Why did you decide to get into the motor industry?
I have always had an interest in motor vehicles.

I specialise in Diamond Cutting alloy wheels.

5. What is a lathe?
It is a large piece of machinery specially designed for Diamond Cutting alloy wheels. Basically it precision cuts off a very thin layer of the alloy, just enough to remove any damage done by kerbing.

6. What specialist training have you had for using a lathe?
Before staring at Diamond Alloys I had two days intense training which allowed me to gain the expertise I needed to deal with any cut required,  these are specialist skills so the training was essential.

7. Why is our Diamond Cut finish so popular?
It is a special and unique finish and very popular thanks to the amazing finished effect it creates. I believe a Diamond Cut finish is the best an alloy can get!

8. What do you recommend customers should do to keep their alloy wheels shinning after a diamond cut finish?
I would recommend they clean each alloy at least once a week with warm soapy water, avoid using acidic or chemical cleaners and polish. Avoiding acidic cleaners is important because they affect the condition of your wheels, which could result in you having to have more refurbishments than actually needed.

9. Why should customers avoid a mobile repair service?
Because they only touch up the wheels which means they just repair the damaged area. In fact you cannot get a Diamond Cut repair done by a mobile repair company, so you need to bring it into a specialist alloy wheel repair company like Diamond Alloys.

I take pride in my work and I am very self-motivated.

A Ferrari FF and it wouldn’t matter where I drove it as long as I had a gorgeous lady with me. Not too picky at the moment.

Relax, meet friends and family.

15. Do you have any ambitions outside work?
When I was a child I always wanted to be a professional footballer…a million miles away from alloy refurbishment, I know.

16. What are three things you can’t live without?
Food, drink and Oxygen…I am not really materialist!

I don’t have a car at the moment. Due to where I live it is easier for me to use public transportation oppose to driving.
