The Gallardo Glides With a New Set of Wheels

When PUR Wheels start a project, you know that near-perfection is on the cards. The New York based company prides itself on creating bespoke forged wheels. The specialist firm is unique in that it uses wheels to show off the beauty of the car as opposed to seeing wheels as just accents part of a car.

Keeping with the Italian flair of the Lamborghini, the wheels are painted in DavincI Red while PUR wheels also have the wheels in Lumière Grey and modern black. The company put PUR TEN alloy wheels to contrast with the dark grey shell of the Gallardo’s exterior. The alloys come in 19 inch to 22 inch with high gloss or matte finishes.  The wheels are framed with five-spoke wheel design.

You may not own a Lambo, but if you like the bespoke alloys on this Gallardo  and you are looking for something similar, call us on 0845 370 8881 and discuss your options with our trained technicians.

K3 Projekt gives the wheels on the CLS550 a new lease of life

K3 Projekt is definitely a tuning specialist that freshens the market with their take on the wheels of cars. The CLS550 from Mercedes-Benz went under the microscope under the watchful eyes of K3 Projekt. As the pictures show, the specialists made some changes including adding Renntech lowered suspension.

AMG was also included by K3 Projekt with a unique AMG aero package. The wheels however are the star attractions of the CLS550 thanks to the 20 inch F2 wheels by K3 Projekt. The colours come in matte black and gunmetal grey which are two dark yet smouldering shades for the wheels of a strong car like the CLS550. This styling from the CLS550 is lifted by the wheels of the car which transcend the Mercedes-Benz as an aggressive and fierce car to drive.

Do you like the bespoke alloys on this Mercedes CLS550? At Diamond Alloys you can choose from a range of alloy wheel refurbishments including a bespoke alloys service, a standard refurbishment or our most popular service a Diamond Cut.  Give us a call on 0845 370 8111 and we will be happy to give you a quote! ADV.1 Wheels and the GMP Performance Continental GT

The Bentley Continental GT has been revved up by GMP Performance. This is a new road that Bentley is going down judging from the finished job from the company. It is extreme through and through from the body kit to the alloys.

The GT itself is powered by an automatic 6-speed transmission through the 6 litre W12 engine. With GMP Performance’s extra work, the Continental GT performs smoothly with ADV05DC alloy wheels. These wheels have a concave profile which gives the car a chiselled and engineered finish. The aggressive styling by GMP is further seen by the colours chosen; the forged alloys come in dark gunmetal grey. This contrasts nicely with the exterior of the Bentley which is painted in matte grey.

At Diamond Alloys we are well equipped to offer you a great bespoke alloy wheel refurbishment, so if you like this dark grey look and want something similar for your car, then give us a call on 0845 370 8881 and we can recommend a service perfect for you!

New Forged Wheels for BMW

Most forged alloy wheels look fantastic; when they are done by Sportec, they are on another level. The tuning firm created forged alloy wheels for several BMW models. The Swiss company worked its magic on models such as the BMW M models, the BMW 1-series and the popular BMW 3-series.

The features of these forged wheels include that they are lightweight and they act as an agent to reduce the actual weight of the car. This helps to improve fuel efficiency. They are also agile forged wheels which make handling and control simple. Sportec like to do things a bit differently which is why an assortment of 3 colour options is available for customers.

If you want to maintain your alloy wheels as shining as new you should consider having your alloys repaired at a specialist alloy wheel repair centre like Diamond Alloys. You can choose from a range of alloy wheel refurbishments including a bespoke alloy refurbishment, a standard refurbishment or our most popular service a Diamond Cut. Give us a call on 0845 370 8881 and discuss your options with our technicians.

New Black Trim for Evoque

The Range Rover Evoque is the best selling model from the Range Rover stable, so it’s only fitting that it gets a black pack on its exterior. At the Geneva Motor Show last month, Land Rover showed off the exclusive new Black Design Pack that will be available for customers.

It is available on the Dynamic-trim Evoque, it is definitely for the drivers who want something sleek, luxurious and mysterious. There are also 20 inch forged alloy wheels in glossy black. If that isn’t enough for demanding drivers, there are also headlamps which are darkened and black chrome. Land Rover will release the Black Design Pack this month and thanks to its contrast on the white exterior of the Evoque, it should fly out of dealerships soon.

At Diamond Alloys we are well equipped to offer you a great bespoke alloy wheel refurbishment, so if you like this glossy black look and want something similar for your car, then give us a call on 0845 370 8881 and we can recommend a service perfect for you!

Our Specialists Recommend A New Look For Clients Alloy Wheels

Clients often ask us for advice when deciding what finish to opt for on their alloy wheels. This can either be because their alloys have been scuffed or damaged while driving and parking, but on occasion it can also be just because someone is looking for a new and exciting look for their car. This week, a customer wanted a special look for her car, but was not sure what would work best. Our trained technicians were happy to help and with their vast knowledge of what finishes can be achieved they suggested a few examples that would work. The customer was able to view some previous alloys on-line and with our help decided an anthracite look would offer a great result. Take a look at the pictures and we know you will agree.

the advantages of alloy

Alloy wheels have become the most common type of wheel on the road, becoming the standard on most cars now produced. The cosmetic value of alloy wheels is obvious, they simply look better than steel wheels, however there are other reasons that may not be immediately obvious as to why they have become so popular.

Alloys are much lighter than steel wheels and this significantly impacts on a car’s performance, alloy wheels make for better acceleration and more agile performance whilst steel wheels will lower the car’s centre of gravity and dampen acceleration. Why is this difference in weight so important when it makes up a fraction of the total weight of the car? The wheels are a dynamic part of the car subject to tremendous physical force when you accelerate and when you brake. The heavier a wheel is, the more energy is required to affect it. This has an obvious knock on effect for the performance of your car, but also means that parts of the car that interact with the energy of a wheel, like shock absorbers, will wear faster. So a low weight on the wheel is important in a lot of ways.

As well as it just looking better, there are other cosmetic benefits that alloys offer. Alloy is easier to work than steel and this opens the door to a range of customisation options for those who want their car looking that little bit extra special. Alloy wheels are also a better medium for painting on and can be finished in a variety of ways, like our Diamond cutting technique, for a better look.

So there you go, alloy wheels are the perfect choice because of their blend of practicality and beauty, making your car more responsive on the road and looking better whilst doing it.

hydrographics carbon fibre effect for wheels

Here at Diamond Alloys we’ve got a new option for those of you wanting a bit of extra personalisation on your alloys, hydrographic printing.

Hydrographic printing is a great method for applying complex, personal designs onto three dimensional objects – like a wheel. The process involves imprinting a design onto a PVA film which is then floated on the surface of a body of water. The film then gets sprayed with an activator chemical which dissolves it on top of the liquid and activates a bonding agent. Finally, the alloys are dipped into the water, and the floating ink layer wraps around and sticks to it, leaving an instant perfect finish without air bubbles, wrinkles or blemishes.

We’re really excited to add this to the services we offer that also include powder coating and painting, as well as our diamond cutting.
