Customer Robertas Razinskas brought his BMW 5 Series to us at the beginning of the week wanting a colour change on all four of his alloys in addition to the centre caps. As you can see on the before pictures the alloys are badly scuffed on the outer rim. This compromises the protective lacquer layer allowing water to seep in which if left unattended to will cause corrosion.

Customer Robertas came down to our workshop where workshop Manager Amerjit showed him various blow out cards of different colours to help him choose the right shade of paint he was looking for.

This is all part of the service at Diamond Alloys, to ensure every client is happy with the finished result. His alloys were originally Titan silver, however after looking at the paint cards he decided to opt for a darker shade of grey. The colour was much more sophisticated and created an individual look which complimented the colour of the car beautifully. Robertas was very pleased with the finished result.

We are dedicated to ensuring our clients get the look they want. Usually this is not a problem and we welcome the challenge to create a finished look to meet our customers wishes, however we always put safety first and are committed to giving all our clients sound advice at all times.

These alloy wheels were originally diamond cut and the client wanted the scuffs and scrapes refurbished with the same look.

When all wheels arrive our experienced technicians carry out a thorough check creating a wheel report. This report highlights issues which may not have been apparent when the wheels arrived, which is exactly what happened on this occasion.

Upon inspection it turned out that 3 of the wheels were buckled, something that is not always noticeable by sight and can result in your car failing its MOT. Indications could be that air is lost more quickly than normal, so it is always worth having your rims inspected if you notice this happening, or if your car pulls to one side when driving.

Buckled wheels can easily be repaired and this can be carried out on site quickly at Diamond Alloys. However our client chose not to have the minor buckles repair repaired as on this occasion it was not a safety issue. However, this did mean we were not able to Diamond cut the wheels as it is not possible to diamond cut alloys which are buckled, so our technicians advised our client to consider gloss black, which is currently a hot look! Check out the before and after images and you’ll probably agree they look better after regardless!

There is no better recommendation than direct from a client, and we were delighted when Nik Garrad came to collect his Chevrolet alloys and said ‘WOW!’

Nik’s alloys were a standard silver colour which he felt could be improved with a new look. Nik requested a satin black standard paint finish with the added detail of orange rim bands to co-ordinate with his car and add the extra detail he was looking for. Not only do they look great, but the rim bands add extra protection to the rims ensuring they last longer against every day wear and tear which can occur when parking close to high kerbs.

We were delighted with the feedback we received from local business Telsar who came to Diamond Alloys to get their company car alloy wheels refurbished to achieve a stunning new look more in keeping with their branded vehicle.

As you can see from the before images below, the wheels started out in a standard silver colour, but Dipesh Patel from Telstar wanted to upgrade the look to a stunning black gloss finish to match the cars bodywork. The after pictures show how much this simple colour change enhanced the appearance of the car’s look.
