Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels London – For a cut above the rest

diamond-cut-alloy-wheelIf you are deciding how to repair of refurbish your alloy wheels, you may start to consider a ‘diamond cut finish’, also known as ‘diamond cutting’ alloy wheels. A diamond cut is widely regarded as the finest of alloy finishes, one that provides the highest possible quality and precision, giving your wheels a prestigious, high quality look.

Diamond Cutting alloy wheels works by finely cutting the alloy wheel on a lathe, removing only what metal is required – nothing more, nothing less. The diamond cutting process starts, however, with a specialist clean of scotching-alloy-wheels-1024x683your alloy wheel, completely removing all dirt, grit and tar, ensuring that the Diamond Alloys team can make a thorough examination and decide on the best possible repair for any damage sustained.

After the cleaning the alloy wheel is powder coated, ensuring a smoother finish is achieved once the repair is complete. Then comes the precision cutting, which leaves a pure, shiny finish. Following this expert diamond cut comes a coating of scratch-proof lacquer, after which the wheel is baked in the oven and then carefully inspected to ensure it diamond-alloys-powder-coated-alloysmeets our quality standards.

Even if you’re not fanatical about your alloy wheels aesthetics, it’s worth considering a diamond cut repair because many car companies fit diamond cut alloys to their vehicles as standard. If your car is intended to come with this style of alloys then it’s worth preserving the continuity, not just to ensure the car looks its best but also to give yourself the best possible chance of attracting a high resale price should you ever come to put it on the market.

Where can I get my Jaguar Alloy Wheels Powder Coated?

At Diamond Alloys of course! We specialise in repairing and refurbishing top name Marques like Jaguar with a quality powder coat finish.

jaguar-corroded-alloy-wheelsIf you want the best possible finish for your rims then you’ll want them to be powder coated alloys. Powder coating alloy wheels is what we specialise in at Diamond Alloys and can help transform damaged Jaguar alloys like these into a look that’s as good as new. Why? Because the powder coating process creates a smoother and thicker coating, which gives a high-quality surface to the rims that lasts for much longer than traditional wet paint methods. There’s no dripping with this method! It’s also a lot quicker and each rim is powder coated front, back and inside to help prevent future corrosion developing.

jaguar-powder-coated-alloy-wheelThese Jaguar alloy wheels had some kerb damage that required our technicians to aquablast, sand and file the alloy back into shape. After this the wheels were gently heated to remove any air from them, then cooled and primed, before being coated with the specialist powder mixture. The alloys are then baked in our specialist alloy wheel oven at 200 degrees Celsius, which hardens the powder coat to ensure it is difficult to remove!

The overall result from powder coating is simply stunning, and we would urge you to consider it if you’re due for a refurb. The great thing about it is that the powder comes in a huge variety of colours, so it’s a great excuse to change your look if you feel that your car is getting a bit stale!
