Most common Questions we get from our Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Customers

daliOur team are on hand 6 days a week to answer any of your questions and give advice on the best alloy wheel repair and refurbishment options available at Diamond Alloys London. To keep you informed, we have listed below the most common questions we get asked about our alloy wheel repair and refurbishment services:

Where are we located?
We have 2 locations for your convenience. Our workshop and headquarters are located just off the A40 in Northolt, West London and our new Heathrow drop off centre is located on the A30 in Staines-Upon-Thames. If you want to leave your car with us while the repairs are being done, we suggest our Northolt location is ideal as the Central tube line is just a short walk away. If you are dropping off wheels, then we’ll be happy to welcome you to our new Heathrow alloy wheel refurbishment branch.

How long will the alloy wheel refurbishment take?
This depends on what alloy wheel repair or refurbishment you are having, and the condition of your wheels. However, in general we advise 2-3 days for a Diamond Cut alloy wheel repair and 3-4 for a powder coated alloy finish.

Do we have loan wheels?
Yes, we do!  We can offer loan wheels for certain VW, Mercedes, BMW and Range Rover cars, enabling you to stay on the road as repairs to your alloy wheels are carried out.

alloygators-jpgDo we have anything to protect the alloys?
Yes, we advise that you have Alloygators fixed to your rims after your repair or refurbishment. These not only look stylish but will also protect your alloy wheels from kerb damage and scuffs. Fitting is FREE with any refurbishment.

Where can I get my Jaguar Alloy Wheels Powder Coated?

At Diamond Alloys of course! We specialise in repairing and refurbishing top name Marques like Jaguar with a quality powder coat finish.

jaguar-corroded-alloy-wheelsIf you want the best possible finish for your rims then you’ll want them to be powder coated alloys. Powder coating alloy wheels is what we specialise in at Diamond Alloys and can help transform damaged Jaguar alloys like these into a look that’s as good as new. Why? Because the powder coating process creates a smoother and thicker coating, which gives a high-quality surface to the rims that lasts for much longer than traditional wet paint methods. There’s no dripping with this method! It’s also a lot quicker and each rim is powder coated front, back and inside to help prevent future corrosion developing.

jaguar-powder-coated-alloy-wheelThese Jaguar alloy wheels had some kerb damage that required our technicians to aquablast, sand and file the alloy back into shape. After this the wheels were gently heated to remove any air from them, then cooled and primed, before being coated with the specialist powder mixture. The alloys are then baked in our specialist alloy wheel oven at 200 degrees Celsius, which hardens the powder coat to ensure it is difficult to remove!

The overall result from powder coating is simply stunning, and we would urge you to consider it if you’re due for a refurb. The great thing about it is that the powder comes in a huge variety of colours, so it’s a great excuse to change your look if you feel that your car is getting a bit stale!
